Mary wrote An Ode to Nuada around loss, restoration, and the part of a person neither can define. Each attempt to make its central lines more dramatic weakened them, so the sisters kept taking sound away until the words had room to stand.
That patience also shows up in conversation. Her musical knowledge can produce an entirely sincere “You've never heard this?” followed by the realisation that most people probably have not.
Mary is rarely the sister making jokes across the room, though she does have a weakness for music puns. She delivers them straight and often returns calmly to whatever she was doing.
